Turn an Unusable Slope Into a Functional Outdoor Living Space

This property originally had a steep downhill backyard with little to no usable space, making it difficult for the homeowner to relax, entertain, or fully enjoy the yard. Like many sloped lots in the Inland Empire, the grade made landscaping and outdoor living nearly impossible.

Our Solution

  • Two 3-foot interlocking stone retaining walls around the perimeter to stabilize the slope and create level terraces

  • Artificial turf for a clean, low-maintenance green space

  • A broom-finish concrete patio on the upper tier for durability and entertaining

  • Custom interlocking stone stairs with integrated HD lighting for safety and a modern look.

Complete Backyard Renovation with Stamped Concrete & Artificial Turf in Menifee

This project in Menifee, California involved a complete yard renovation, starting with demolition and removal of the existing landscape to create a clean foundation for the new design. The goal was to transform the outdoor space with a combination of decorative concrete and low-maintenance landscaping that would look good together and provide the homeowners with a more functional yard.

For the landscape portion, we installed high-quality 100 oz artificial turf, properly preparing the area before installation to create a clean, natural-looking finished surface. The turf adds year-round greenery while reducing the maintenance and watering associated with a traditional lawn.

For the hardscape, we installed two-color stamped concrete using an Ashlar Slate pattern and powder release. The combination of color and release helps bring out the texture and variation of the Ashlar Slate stamp, giving the concrete more depth and a natural stone-inspired appearance instead of a flat, uniform finish.

The stamped concrete continues through the side-yard corridor leading into the backyard, creating a natural transition between the front and rear portions of the property. By coordinating the concrete, turf, elevations, and overall layout as one project, we were able to turn the existing yard into a finished outdoor space designed around both appearance and everyday use.

This residential project in Hemet, California included the installation of a two-section decorative concrete patio designed to create a clean and functional outdoor space. We used a Roman Slate stamped concrete pattern with a picture-frame border to give the patio more definition and a finished appearance. The combination of stamped concrete and detailed borders adds texture and character while maintaining a simple design that complements the home and surrounding landscape.

New Home Concrete & Floating Steps in Homeland, CA

This new home concrete project in Homeland, California included the installation of 3,500 PSI broom-finished concrete with a clean picture-frame finish for added detail. At the front entrance, we constructed floating concrete steps to create a modern transition into the home. This outdoor renovation features premium 100 oz artificial turf, custom floating concrete steps with integrated HD low-voltage lighting, and concrete mowing strips that create clean separation between the different landscape areas. We also installed Italian Cypress trees and Boxwood shrubs, complemented by low-voltage landscape lighting to highlight the trees at night. Random Stone Decorative Concrete Patio in Temecula, CA

This residential project in Temecula, California features a sandstone-colored concrete patio with a Random Stone decorative pattern, creating a natural stone-inspired finish that complements the surrounding home and landscape. We also installed a concrete mowing strip/curb to create a clean transition between landscape areas. Because neighboring properties in many newer developments can have different finished elevations, proper grading and drainage were an important part of this project. We planned the concrete elevations and transitions carefully so water could continue flowing toward the intended drainage areas instead of creating low spots or directing runoff toward the home or neighboring property.

Complete Drought-Tolerant Landscape Renovation in Moreno Valley, CA

This complete landscape renovation in Moreno Valley, California started with removal of the existing landscape and a new design focused on creating a natural, low-maintenance outdoor space. The project features a dry river creek using Arizona river rock and Sierra White boulders, along with bark ground cover, which we selected for its appearance and longer-lasting performance compared with traditional mulch. We also installed a drip irrigation system, drought-tolerant grass, a small freestanding landscape wall, and epoxy-coated Jelly Bean pea gravel to add texture and define different areas of the yard. The combination of rock, boulders, planting, grass, and hardscape gives the property a finished landscape while keeping long-term water use and maintenance in mind.

Artificial Turf & Low-Maintenance Landscape Renovation in Hemet, CA

This landscape renovation in Hemet, California combines several low-maintenance materials to create a clean and functional outdoor space. The project features premium 100 oz artificial turf, epoxy Jelly Bean pea gravel, concrete mowing strips, a small flagstone walkway, and decorative lava rock throughout the planter areas. We also installed a Crape Myrtle tree to bring natural color and character into the landscape. Complete Front & Backyard Renovation in Palm Springs, CA

This complete landscape and concrete renovation in Palm Springs, California was an A-to-Z transformation covering the driveway, front yard common areas, and backyard. The project began with demolition and haul-away of the existing concrete, landscaping, plants, and other materials, followed by preparation for the new design. We installed 3,500 PSI decorative concrete in a charcoal color with an Ashlar Slate stamped pattern, along with premium 100 oz artificial turf and concrete mowing strips to create clean separation between the different landscape areas. Decorative gravel featuring a White Ice and lava rock mix was incorporated throughout the landscape to complement the darker concrete and desert setting.
